Snow Much Fun And More!

If you can't go outside to play in the snow, just bring it inside. Check out Scoop from Bob The Builder hauling all of that snow!

A couple of locals decided to drop by to play!

Chunky decided he was tired of his nose running and traded it in for a new one.

I am not "lion". I want to be your valent'ion'!
Does this tail make me look fat?

It has been almost a month since my last post and for good reason. Chunky has been super sick for almost 4 weeks. I am glad to say that he has fully recovered and has just a few more days on antibiotics. Here is a quick recap. He started complaining that his mouth hurt and ran a fever, and some vomiting. He then became covered in a rash = Scarlet Fever = Strep Throat. He recovers for 2 days, then complains of headache, tummy hurting, and legs hurting????, goes back to Dr and has strep again (Round 2 of meds). Several days later, no better, fever blisters on lips, temp of 102 for days, go back to Dr. (Round 3 of meds). Left eye starts drooping and turning red, return to Dr (has strep still, secondary infection, ear infection, and pink eye). At this point I am ready to scream....gets put on 4th round of meds. Finally after forever, starts to recover. This is why nothing has gotten done around the house and no one has heard from/seen me. During all of this drama, we had lots of heavy snow, thus leading to bring the snow inside for a little fun! Oh yeah, did I mention after all of this, I got pink eye and a sore throat :( . Fun to be had by all! Oh well, we are all somewhat back to normal and are going to the hotel tomorrow to have some fun family time at the water park now that everyone has recovered! Hope everyone has a great Valentines Day weekend!

Cold is a relative thing.......

This is so true.  Today when we were driving we saw multiple people with their car windows down. It was about 50 degrees today.  Someone gave my hubby this joke a few days ago, but it really is true.

Cold is a relative thing...

Floridians turn on the heat; people in Indiana plant gardens.

50 above zero:

Italian and English cars won't start; people in Indiana drive with the windows down.

40 above zero:

Georgians put on coats, thermal underwear, gloves, and wool hats; people in Indiana throw on a flannel shirt.

35 above zero:

New York landlords finally turn up the heat; people in Indiana have the last cookout before it gets cold.

20 above zero:

People in Miami all die; hoosiers close the windows.

Zero:

Californians fly away to Mexico; people in Indiana get out their winter coats.

10 below zero:

Hollywood disintegrates; the Girl Scouts in Indiana are selling cookies door to door.

All atomic motion stops; people in Indiana start saying..."Cold enough for ya?"

Coke VS Pepsi - Who Cares?

I for one love them both!  They both have given me tons of free stuff this year.  I just looked back at my accounts for both www.mycokerewards.com and www.pepsistuff.com to review all of the things that they sent me and I was surprised at just how much stuff I was sent.  The Pepsi promotion is now over, but we had a good run.  The Coke promotion will finish this year.  So, in no particular order, here is all of the stuff they have sent me.

Coke-

360 Photos from Snapfish

5 Photo Books

4 Cokes

$38 Subway G.C.

$20 Omaha Steaks

3 tickets to Six Flags ($150.00 value)

$25 Rest G.C.

2 Blockbuster Videos

8 Magazine Subscriptions

2 Dominos Pizzas

$10 Foot Locker G.C.

A Huge Donation was made to Toys For Tots

Several People also took caps for Photo Books and Six Flags Tickets

I estimated this to retail for about $660.00

Pepsi did not run the promotion for long, but they still sent lots of good stuff like:

1 Duffle Bag

1 Belt Buckle

2 Beach Bags

2 Lunch Bags

1 pr Pajamas

5 T Shirts

5 CDs

15 DVDs

Several people also got lots of MP3 downloads

Approx retail value - $400.00

So needless to say, little Coke/Pepsi caps that we all throw away do add up if you take the time to enter them in the computer.  I know that you are all dying to know why I have not died from diabetic shock due to so much cola intake.  I recieved all of the caps for free from a friend at my hubby's work.  I really only wanted to get 1 ticket to Six Flags and he soon gave me enough for 3.  The rest as they say is history.  I still have more caps and yes, you can make fun of me now!

Family Fun

Hubby trying to find our child in the giant foam pit!

Chunky emerges from the sea of foam blocks!

I love this pic! We both look so happy!

Chunky jumping for joy that both of his parents were able to take him to play on a Wednesday!

Yesterday, the family visited a local gymnastics club that opened up their gym for family fun! It only cost $3.00 for all of us to go play and act like a bunch of monkeys for 2 hours. We also acted like Tarzan! The gym was equipped with a huge tarzan rope hanging from the ceiling that let you fly over the foam pit! We also played on the trampolines and on all of the other equipment like the balance beam, parallel bars, rings, vaults, and foam floor toys. We had a blast! I really can not put into words just how much fun we had! Chunky has been talking about it all day today and can't wait to go back! It made for a great way to end the new year! Happy New Year everyone!

Rock Star

Is this Chunky or Elvis

Chunky starting a dance craze at the laser light show!

Having a great time as usual at the laser show!

Last night our local library put on a laser show. I went there not expecting too much, but I was very wrong. They hired a professional laser show business to come in and they put on a non-stop 45 minute show. Of course, I was nervous about how Chunky would act, but he had a great time! He even led the crowd to perform sound effects. During one part of the show, they put on some techno music with lasers. Chunky jumped out and yelled to everyone "get up, lets dance!" What followed next looked like a techno rave of preschoolers. I now know for sure, that I have a leader, not a follower on my hands (also a hard core rocker). Oh well, here is to many more years of a loud house! In other news......WE WON THE HOLIDAY PHOTOS MEMORY CONTEST!!!!!! A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO VOTED EVERY SINGLE DAY! Look out for Chunky's winning photo in the newspaper in the next few weeks! Thanks to all of my friends and family that voted! I know we will have a great time at the water park and hotel! Everyone have a happy and safe new years eve tonight! Will post my resolutions tomorrow!
